The street 'Genkel Place' in Rochester, NY, USA
In the north-east of the United States, in Monroe County in the state New York, near the Canadian border, there is the town Rochester located (cf. map). Christian Joachim Friedrich Genkel, who had immigrated from Germany, was probably living there with his family in the 1880's. The street were he was living had been named "Genkel Place" for him. According to our latest information (as well as a current map indicates) this street does not exist anymore. |
