Genkel's in Mexico
Even if Bodil Inge Genkel is the only Genkel we heard about in Mexico, she was quite famous within the Mexican cultural scene (dancer with the National Ballet). Bodil was no native Mexican, but she was born in Copenhagen / Denmark in 1916. In 1974 she married Fritz Gordon Francis Langhorn, a fellow-countryman of her, in California. He was emigrated years before from Denmark too (together with his first wife). Probably they got to know each other during a holiday trip of Fritz Gordon to Mexico. Bodil died 1991 in Mexico. |
